The times are indeed changing as more and more non-Adobematic (making up words is fun) applications are becoming available to photographers who feel like stretching their creative legs and branching out into other platforms to process their digital images. “ But the times, they are a-changin’.” Bob Dylan said that. Until the last few years, photographers haven’t had that many (relatively) options other than Adobe to process their digital images. That being said… there is a conspicuously large elephant in the room when it comes to photo processing platforms. Of course, that’s technically only gleaned from this author’s opinion as current statistics from that realm are increasingly difficult to come by. Whether it be Lightroom (one of its many iterations) Photoshop or Adobe Camera RAW, the chances are fairly sizeable that you or someone you know uses a version of post-processing software produced by the good folks at Adobe. Still, someone has to do it, don’t they?įor the better part of the last decade, some of, if not the most widely used digital photography post-processing platforms have been brought to you by Adobe. A little inappropriate… like talking about the paintings on opening night at an art show.
Overall, we found that Zoner Photo Studio X is a very strong image editor in its own right and although it's not free, we think it's worth paying the price for all these powerful features that come in the package.It might very well be a bit vulgar even to discuss this. Another cool feature is called Develop Module, which offers you the freedom to boost the image quality without altering the source photo in any way. Last but not least, Zoner Photo Studio X comes with a very powerful editor which lets the user manipulate and edit several key variables, while keeping everything in a nicely wrapped interface that lets you focus on the task at hand. The software lets you label all your collections, minimizing the mess factor when dealing with large amounts of photos at once. The software can also import images directly from a connected camera and lets you sort and organize with few clicks. Zoner Photo Studio X also comes with a useful tutorial which explains its features and interface, allowing the user to learn its features and quirks pretty quickly. The interface is very clean and intuitive, allowing the user fast access to all the tools needed to manage their image collections with ease.
